He did say when. It could 3, 4 ,5, 6 weeks with the possibility of 7, 8, 9, 10 weeks. It’s also plausible it can take up to 11, 12, 13, 14 weeks. It’s perfectly reasonable if it takes 15, 16, 17, 18 weeks. There’s a chance it can take 19, 20, 21 ,22 weeks. It would be also safe to assume it would take 23, 24, 25, 26 weeks. There’s also the likelihood of it taking 27, 28 29, 30 weeks. You can correctly expect even 31, 32, 33, 34 weeks. It’s feasible it could take 35, 36, 37, 38 weeks. It would be safe to anticipate it taking 39, 40, 41 or 42 weeks. Any more questions?

@Wade it sounded like the agricultural purchases were conditional on structural changes on our side. Let’s see what Farmers think about that first

Where are all the people that said….”China will never agree or sign a trade deal from the West?” Where are the people who said China rules/owns the modern world???? Sounds like the US got China to buy more ag products in return for IP theift, forced technology transfers, currency manipulation, and opening China’s financial services. This sounds like a US trade deal on US Terms and Conditions!!!!!

You have a short memory. China offered at the beginning of the trade war 15 months ago to buy more agricultural products. They also offered to open up more of their markets at the end of the year before last. China offered to open up financial services, insurance, logistics, auto manufacturing, and farming to foreign companies. So while other countries have already taken advantage of this the US is just starting. The offer to be more transparent on currency is a joke. Up to two months ago, China was supporting the RMB, now they let it float so the value went down. If the RMB floats, it could be more volatile instead of stable. IP? China has been actively working that issue over the last 5 years so it is really a done deal. Last year 288,000 IP cases were tried in China’s IP courts. Remember it took China a few years to train a judiciary, provide the courts and establish the guidelines to run the courts. They are off and running. Trump may find more Chinese lawsuits now against American companies as China passes the US in international patent applications. What Trump failed to mention was the thing that ended the first talks, China’s rise in technology. He also failed to mention that the US was pushing China to change its political system from a command-driven form to a free market free trade, form. That is pure hypocrisy. Tariffs are not free market and free trade. I have my doubts Trump will talk about China’s ‘Made in China 2025’ which is China’s technology plan for the future nor will he bring up changing China’s political system. If he does this, there is an end to the trade war tunnel. If not, the next POTUS will have to continue the battle.

@Mas Miwa how convenient…China was working on all of this prior to any announcement of the trade deal. Give me a break. Just how China made all of its promises when they entered into the WTO. No Sir, they are doing it now, because the US finally stood up and challenged them. Also, Huawei wasn’t even apart of the deal….I bet you got some other convenient story of how China is working on other tech companies because Huawei isnt important anymore….or some other excuse

Same “deal” as always. China “agrees to buy more agriculture”. We know they’ve said this in the past nothing new. China gets tarrifs delayed. Seems China beat Trump again.
