Did the victims thank Trump for signing the bill to help mentally ill people like Nick Cruz get guns?

    • 69LOLIN
      February 18, 2018 @ 3:20 am

Bruce L but trump made a big mistake, he opened the door for guns to ppl with mental health problems….this is just good for the NRA!

    • Kenny Hale
      February 18, 2018 @ 10:07 am

John McSween: Nobody close or near N. Korea thinks we are better since Trump came in. Vlad Putin (when your primary enemy is happy with your leader, are you really better off?) and the NRA are though.

    • Kenny Hale
      February 18, 2018 @ 10:10 am

9LOLIN: The NRA is paying millions for political support. They are getting what they have paid for. The question is are we getting what we voted for?

    • Kenny Hale
      February 18, 2018 @ 10:16 am

Asha Bosley: Trump signed a bill (H.J.Res.40…you can look it up) that rescinded the Obama-era law prohibiting firearm sale or transfer to and purchase or possession by a person who has been adjudicated as a mental defective.
Score one for the NRA and 17 for Nick Cruz!

The US has caused many countries to fail and now they make themselves fail. They spend their money on Militarization and their people are ignored.

Question, is that pos, education secretary, potus, congress going to really change what they voted to repeal? I doubt it. We parents send our children to school, jump when the schools tell us to, only to hear this all the time. Granted, automobile are dangerous too, I am tired of trying to answer my younger son’s question, is my school next, why and when will this stop. If want to shoot something go to a range not schools.

    February 17, 2018 @ 3:46 pm

Seems like one shooting every month down in the U.S. of A.
Trump said absolutely nothing about other 16 killed or anything else of substance…..not too Presidential.
Puerto Rica comes to mind, him throwing paper towel rolls to the crowd…..WOW

    • Lori
      February 17, 2018 @ 9:47 pm

Akash, yes he stood in small emergency shelter and threw couple rolls paper towels to crowd of flood displaced residents. Dont have time to find link for you but dig a bit and yu will find the news coverage of this crass “Trump” moment.

    • Akash Samson
      February 17, 2018 @ 9:50 pm

Lori wow so all he did to help was throwing rolls of paper towels at a crowd? SMH. Literally that was all the help he could offer?! SMH.

  18. Bob Ivanski
    February 17, 2018 @ 9:36 pm

I feel for the victims. But what does gun control do about all the guns on the black market nothing. Even in Canada guns are readily available on the black market if you want one. The protesters should be furious with the FBI AND THE Sheriffs department they clearly dropped the ball. People went to the authorities about this kid numerous times about his threats. It clearly should never have happened and was preventable in this case

  19. Linda Thomas
    February 17, 2018 @ 9:43 pm

Trump got 30 million from the NRA. Shameful conflict of interest! Trump, you are complicit! Ban those multi killing guns now! Those who made money on these guns and NRA should pay for funerals and loss of lives and apologize for their desire for profit on gun sales over people’s lives. Trump give the NRA contributions you have taken and give them to all victims.

When I see this thumb nail if I was that sheriff I sure the hell wouldn’t think I should take what this fruit flake has to say serious. He is a guy who had a hit show the Apprentice. Who simply has his name on a lot of stuff. Hope you people know he doesn’t own those buildings. His assets are his helicopter , plane. Even his golf courses are owned by different people.

I’m very anti gun, but I feel the gun control issues can be addressed when the tragedy is less fresh. Now is a time for mourning and being around loved ones. If I was a victim, knew a victim or was a victim’s family I would be in deep mourning. To support these poor poor people at this time we should offer love and be present with them, at least in solidarity and understanding. The protests can come later, the change in legislation and lobbying for it can be well planned once some temporal distance from the event comes to pass. I say have a heart. But everyone grieves differently …. as for those not directly effected, give it some time before marching and protesting. Just my two cents…

Gun controls would make 0 difference in gun crimes, They will just use illegally acquired guns.

i believe that way and measure to prevent this school shooting from happen again. Which is mandatory Airport style bag security screening and inspection at all school. federal Banning all guns and weapons in all USA states and city. Only USA Police FBI and us military and hunter gun club can own access the guns. There needs to be a overhaul gun industry .

  26. Nick Badger
    February 18, 2018 @ 6:54 am

There was a drill at the school that morning, police officers, firefighters, swat and dhs/fbi were already there and LET this Cruz guy not only slip past them, but with an ar-15, shoot 17 children and then escape. We HAVE the most inept law enforcement in ALL OF HISTORY! Before we talk guns, ALL of these people need to be fired IMMEDIATELY, and possibly fined, punished and imprisoned for stupidity and negligence. Whomever trained Cruz to do this needs to be brought in as well, this person is unbelievably intelligent, possible ex navy seal or something.

I have zero time for crying Mothers and their offspring, who force meds down their kids throats and then become outraged over guns..Don’t worry too much about guns America……Big Pharma has been slaughtering your kids for decades, the Hospitals have been guilty of negligent practices for a hundred years or more……

Now tell us guns are your biggest threat. And whilst you fickle types complain about Trump and his attitude to all of this……tell us which of your presidents got guns ‘under control’ ??

five out of the 12 deadliest mass shootings in American history have happened not just since Barack Obama became president, but just under his first term as president alone.

  30. STEVEN S
    February 18, 2018 @ 8:44 pm

One thing I know this has nothing to do with Donald Trump. This is an American born and bred problem of people wanting guns. You do not see this in Canada. Why? No guns allowed…period. People can blame mental health but the bottom line is legality of gun ownership opens the door of availability to the wrong people getting guns irrespective of race, religion, Democrat, Republican etc etc. Start yelling at tombstones first because guns are deep in the fabric of Americanism and you will be burying more and more people because of guns.

How can a stranger feel real sadness and offer condolences to another stranger without knowing them? Got to love the media. If someone told you at a bus stop “my relative just passed away” you’d simply reply with “I’m sorry to hear that” and nothing more or nothing less. It is not uncommon for a person not to be able to relate to a stranger whom you do not know who has just suffered a major tragedy in their life. I suppose the media thinks everyone is the same and we should comfort every person who has something horrible happen to them yet, when these newscasters drive home and pass the streets with homeless men and women they feel nothing when these people approach them for change knowing that some of them do not have a roof over their head at night.

Nikolaz Cruz is a follower of Donald Trump.
The media should show the photos with his Trump cap
