All we need is another rich guy with no government experience running the WH. He says he’s doing this for truth, justice and the American way, but I have never heard him speak up once against Trump and the Republican thugship in Congress while they dismantle our democracy.

Modern politicians are people who brought in by bias and lobbyist and most of them accomplish nothing.

So the heckler thinks politicians can run the country and the world? Well I do not think Trump wants to run the world. He want’s to run America so that the rest of the world does not take advantage of America. Mr. Heckler do you knowthat your tax dollars that was set up up by previous administrations and congress, fund countries that don’t GAS about this country. Do you know that no adminitration has done anything with the theft of intellictual property by China, unitl now. Do you know maybe the reason your not middle class is your tax dollars are going to others. Mr. Heckler do you know that most areas that have been run by democrats are going bankrupt.?? I’ll stop here. Schultz, you’ll not get my vote, nor I have bought starbucks coffee. Can’t figure out why anyone would pay for $5 coffee

Another rich white guy with no experience in government thinking that being president is easy and you should run a democracy like a corporation. We don’t need a repeat of this horrible era in our history.

The only ones who protest a centrist, third party candidate are those who do not want to flex toward the middle and risk alienating their bases. Too bad. The rest of us are tired of being jerked from one extreme to the other by both parties who insist on displaying themselves as polar opposites rather than work for the sort of compromise most Americans want. More choices are always better, and today it is the Dems complaining about it but tomorrow it might be the Republicans as Dems cheer from the side. Those who do not like it can always join him rather than vice versa. What? You say you don’t want him and therefore he should not run? Now you know how centrists feel. There is only one way get both parties to move toward the center and that is to pose a credible threat to the votes they expect to receive from this block.

The only reason people oppose him is because of the failures the independent ticket has had in the past. But people are forgetting 3 things 1 you havent heard his policies/agenda and 2 he can afford his own campaign 3 how corrupt the democrat/republican tickets have been in the past 30 years. He is definately capable of being a equal contender to Trump. It is not that i am anti Trump or anti sanders/harris/warren. Its because i am anti partisan. Personally i am open ears

Ruth A I don’t need to know his policies because I can already tell by virtue of him BEING A BILLIONAIRE that he’s not interested in any meaningful solution to the conditions of wealth inequality that made him rich in the first place.

Now I know where not to get my next cup of coffee. Howard Schultz has got to know deep down that by running as a “Centralist Independent” he is going to take away votes from, otherwise Democratic leaning voters which will marginalize the plurality of votes necessary for the the Democratic candidate to unseat Donald Trump or Mike Pence should it come to that.

I’ve seen politicians try to talk other figures out of running, but this is the first time I’ve ever seen a party activate it’s rank-and-file politicians, donors, and radical activists to attack a guy who, by all considerations, is a left-leaning moderate. I never saw Republicans screaming vulgarity at Gary Johnson for taking votes from Trump. You’d think that the intelligent thing to do would be to convince him to run as a Democrat. Instead, the Democrats decision to go further and further to their radical base could backfire in the worst way.

Christopher Evans Only in america could a literal billionaire be considered left wing. dont be fooled, any rich person running for government will inevitably look after the rich and their own wealth.

“We can’t afford health care”. So how does the other half of the world do it? Even if we don’t have “free” health care, we need affordable health care. $6000 for an emergency room visit that takes 10 minutes of a doctors time and a bandage is INSANE!
