We the TAX PAYERS are paying about $120 to $135 billion dollars EVERY year and I mean EVERY YEAR for Illegal Immigrants. Why people can’t see they are being taken to the cleaners is beyond me, these politicians have us in there back pocket. A wall won’t fix everything but it will detour many of these immigrants to a legal port of entry so the wall is a start. $120 BILLION EACH Year and Trump can’t get a measly $5 Billion, something is rotten in D.C. and we will continue to pay pay pay. Just doesn’t make sense these politicians have to start working together and for us.

+Vibezz Do the math. $50 Billion one time VS. $120 Billion YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR and the more ILLEGALS that come here make the cost to the tax payers go up even higher.

How much American blood has to spill by mass shootings committed by Americans before congress does something….seems the crisis is inside America more than over borders..maybe mexico should consider the wall to keep murderous drug hungry Americans away from their families.

I pray everday that in 2020, while the new President is being sworn in, the NY attorney general is handcuffing Drumpf and reading dozens of indictments that will put him in prison the rest of his life.

What is trump going wrong? He wants to build a wall to keep the American citizens safe from illegal criminals coming here to commit crime or bring drugs isn’t that a point of a wall? Why do you have walls at your house, well it’s to protect you and you’re family from harm.. ever think of it that way..

What we have now is classic two sides failing to compromise. Any hardball negotiator will essentially walk on a deal… And I mean literally walk out of the room and leave. Trump is no fool, you don’t get a net worth like that being weak. I never said I was a Trump supporter, I just said he is being extremely disciplined in his negotiation tactics… It worked so well that the Dems had a press conference afterwards to tell everyone they were low skilled negotiators.

You can’t declare it a National Emergency every time you don’t get the votes you need for your pet project.

If Trump forces the issue and loses, he’s finished. The left will cut him into bite sized chunks with investigation after investigation and the far right will eat those chunks for not giving them the wall they wanted.

Trump is currently stalling with the shut down, but it can’t last forever.

Republicans are already calling for a deal to get the government open again. Voting against Trump could become a habit…

I offer no apology for what I am posting, for this is truly how I feel. This is my opinion, not a debate. If you disagree, or find my position offensive, I’m perfectly fine with that. Feel free to unfriend me if we cannot agree to disagree. I wont debate or argue my beliefs.
I have lived through several United States Presidents prior to our current President Trump. In my lifetime, I have never seen nor heard of a President scrutinized over every word he speaks, humiliated by the public to the point of disgrace, slandered, ridiculed, insulted, lied to/about, threatened with death, had his wife and our First Lady disrespected, & his minor child insulted, threatened & harassed.
I am ashamed and saddened by the ruthless, meanspirited, hateful, cruel, biased people who display themselves as having no civic pride, morals, ethics, decency or respect for our country’s traditions and values. My elders and teachers taught me many yrs ago to respect our President, whether I voted for them or not. All the news stations & reporters who feel they have the right to perpetuate blatent lies and fabricate “facts” for a “good story” are dividing our country beyond belief. Many only report the negative “news” and never the accomplishments of our President. If people do not research everything put out by the MSM, they are left to believe all the hate mongering news. This is leading to so much intolerance that I feel we are nearing the brink of a civil war! No other President that took the oath of office, has been on the news 24/7, scrutinized for their every word, facial expression, decision, handshake, what he eats… NO, he is not perfect, far from it! No President or person is, including you and I!!!!! Yes, he makes stupid comments and doesn’t use the flowery language of a “professional politician”. However, I believe he truly loves the United States of America and works tirelessly to make things better for us all. He is very different than what we’ve become accustomed to, thank goodness. The people who would rather see our country fail than help him do his job need to stop. I was always taught “If you can’t be part of the solution then at least don’t be part of the problem”. I personally want our President Donald Trump, as I did his predecessors, to succeed. To hope for failure is INSANE. United we stand; divided we fall.

@Mathew Hoover Poor misguided Mathew. Why do you think the press and anyone with an ounce of reason are disgusted with this so-called president. If you haven’t got the message that he is a pathological liar who has been documented with telling over 7,000 lies, alternative facts and fabrications since he took office then apparently you have been brain dead for the past two years. He lies right to your face Mathew and apparently you are OK with giving him a pass. He suggested that may have not really been his voice on the Access Hollywood tape. He didn’t know anything about the payments to Stormy Daniels and the Playmate but then all of a sudden it seems he did. He never had any business dealings with Russia but Don Jr. says he did a lot. This is not simply a case of a man not being “perfect”. This is a case of a self-centered, narcissistic sleazeball who cares for no one but himself. He could end this government lockout in 10 minutes if he cared for those thousands of federal workers who are suffering without a paycheck. But no, we see his true colors once again when he puts Donald J. Trump as a priority ahead of ANYONE or ANYTHING else. This is showing love for the United States? Benedict Arnold was a better example of loving his country. Anything positive coming out of this presidency is quickly overshadowed by the stench of mean spiritness, ineptness and corruption which has characterized the past two years. Oh yes and the latest from this moron is that the wall will pay for itself in 3-4 months OR that the Mexico trade deal is so good that it will bring in enough money to pay for it. Is this guy delusional or what? HINT: He is!
Now I’m sure that you are a decent fellow and you’ve put together a very good explanation of your views. Now that I have vented mine I wish you well. Have a good evening.

Trump is trying to steal money from the American taxpayer. That is exactly what the wall is for. It will cost one and one half million dollars a mile for 2000 miles plus the land purchases. This is just another Trump con. It will also take 20 years to build.

He met the Democrats halfway by lowering his asking amount to 2.5 billion (only 10% of the amount Democrats voted FOR just a few years ago). He’s trying to meet them in the middle between 5 billion and zero. The Dems should show statesmanship by meeting him there. It’s what the American people want.

There is a wall already there. So exactly what is trump talking about. Please inform us more about details. We do not have much on the way of this wall on details. Where and the area the placement and size and time to do it.

I don’t feel sorry one bit for those cry-baby Federal employees. They should have applied for unemployment, day one. Plus, they still have full benefits and will get back pay.  Civilians lose their jobs and their benefits (if they are lucky enough to have any), everyday. Welcome to the real world.

Rubber bullets, tear gas, and bobbed wire are just deterrents. A swift kick in the a** the good ol’ fashioned way, seems to be the only thing that uncivil and undeveloped countries seem to understand. For those in support of degradation of our nation, they too need to feel the boot. Ask yourself a question of reason, how else can a civil society of intellects, live along side a culture of people that lived a life of being uncivil and restless?, if they can’t fix their own problems past the boarder, what makes you think they can contribute to our society?. They’re all just mules bring on the troubles, they’re trying to run from.

Democrats WANT Trump to declare an emergency. Then the whole issue will get kicked to the courts. First, the court will issue a stay on the ‘wall’ , and order that the government get re-opened. Secondly, in court, you don’t get to just pull sh*t out or your a**. You have to have actual evidence to back up what you say. “Some people say”, and “I’ve heard that…” don’t fly in court. LOL.

Did Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi as Senators know that there’re a 12 foot high iron fence and stone piers with “anti-climb and intrusion detection technology” around the White House? The original iron fence was erected by President Thomas Jefferson in 1801 and at the southern end of the southern lawn had lain an original 8 foot high stone wall with a sunken ditch to keep livestock from invading the garden. Are the current 12 foot high iron fence and stone piers around the White House, immoral as Nancy Pelosi condemned? We’re wondering if Nancy Pelosi need to see a mental health specialist.
