Here we go again … Trump already backpedaling again on DACA, after agreeing to it in exchange for a yes on the wall, and now we’re heading for another Trumpian shutdown after Feb 8th … during which he will again push for the nuclear option in order to seize the power he needs to halt the Russia inquiry and takeover the FBI & DOJ by firing opposition and packing both with loyalists.

It’s sickening and almost treasonous how the republicans have decided to purposely attack members of the FBI and anyone else who confirms the obstruction and collision regarding Trump and his administration with Russia. It’s expected from Trump, who’s history is full of illegal activities and being a compulsive pathological liar. Republicans have no integrity, zero honor, and are unpatriotic as they put party in front of OUR COUNTRY!

yellow dog … Exactly! These republicans are deplorable. Democrats have their moments but this is beyond anything I’ve ever witnessed. Nixon’s crimes are trivial compared to Trump’s attempt to turn the White House into his own Mob House. Trump has never been held accountable for his life-long corrupt business tactics and the GOP is letting him do the same with our government.

“Freedom of Association” is a Constitutionally guaranteed Right for all Citizens. For a President to predicate an action, like a job offer or an offer of advancement, or in anticipation of enacting a punishment, such as firing or demoting or sidelining a government employee, based on a perceived association by that employee that he, as President, dislikes is a violation of a Constitutional Protection.

The President takes an oath to defend and protect the Constitution. He cannot act unconstitutionally in a such a direct fashion based on his dislike of a person who is “associated”, through marriage, to someone running for office as a candidate of an opposition political party.

McCabe is free to “associate” with a wife who is equally free to associate with a democratic party, which is itself an association protected by the Constitution. Not even a President can violate freedom of association rights without violating the Constitution.

Freedom of Association was an important concept in the minds of the Founding Fathers, but it seems this President is unaware of it.

As President Trump has just made himself terribly vulnerable to an impeachment charge by personally violating the very Constitution he swore to protect.

Will Trump supporters stand for this? How can personal freedom and liberty be preserved if the person in charge of protecting and defending those freedoms violate them at will?

This is not “populism”. This is not American. This is incipient tyranny and it must not win.

Trump and the republicans are projecting their own corruption onto McCabe. Saying that McCabe must be corrupt because HIS WIFE took campaign contributions from democrats. At least she didn’t take money from Russia, or the Koch brothers. If trump and the republicans feel so strongly that a man can be corrupted because his wife took campaign contributions from democrats, then what does that say about republicans who take in huge contributions from corporations…….and Russians????

Under the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978, federal employers are prohibited from asking political party preference questions of federal employees and applicants. Although currently there are no federal laws that prohibit private employers from asking political affiliation questions, employers should probably refrain from asking such questions. Employers should also check their state laws, which may prohibit discrimination based on political affiliation, activity or belief.

Gee, Trump did something illegal?? Say it ain’t so! This alone could get him impeached, normally people get fired for this.

Thank God I listened to my fellow liberals who stated repeatedly that Hillary Clinton was “just as bad or worse” than Trump and to vote for somebody else in the election. After all, when you think about border walls, travel bans, repealing Obamacare, tax cuts for the rich, deregulation of Wall Street, pulling out of the Paris Climate Agreement, expanding offshore drilling, erratic tweets, political incompetence, an ultra conservative Supreme Court judge, an understaffed government and a constant undermining of our democratic institutions … it makes sense that liberals would warn us to stay away from Hillary. We really dodged a bullet there…
