Oh goody its teleprompter trump just a bunch of lies made up by a team of writers. Watch him stick up his middle finger to everyone behind the curtains when the crowds are gone. Our colleges and schools are in the toilet due to Betsy Devos, the tax cut is going to end in a terrible recession as with Reagan and the Bushes it will be worse than 2008, Our environment is getting destroyed, Big pharma and healthcare are screwing everyone. Tourism to the USA is going down, Students are not coming from abroad to study at our universities, Science and technology innovation is getting stifled or cut, Our parks and wild lands are getting exploited, A student loan bubble is swelling to the point of disaster, Inequality is worse than before, people are working 2 and 3 jobs just to put food on the table, All of FDR’s safety nets are being ripped up, Gas prices are going up, Woman still make less than men on the dollar, The national debt will go through the roof. The only thing that’s happening now is we have this temporary sugar high from the tax cuts. When the stock market crashes it will not be a soft landing it will be fast elevator ride down to the bottom with a crash in the basement. Everyone but the top 1% will suffer.

What u Americans missed the first couple of days was heads of state holding talks and forming action groups to work for equal pay, equal treatment on the job market and to combat income inequality. Sounds like something, u could use?

A somber view on the state of things, to be sure, but not entirely inaccurate. Sadly, most of 3natey’s cynicism is well-deserved. The real question is: how long can we keep this current gaggle of bubbles afloat? Long enough to outlast trump, I pray. That’s not to say they won’t still be on the precipice of bursting, but we can (hopefully) begin to address our real problems once he’s gone. Here’s a hint: they ain’t immigration, regulations, and “high” taxes…

You missed he told them they were stealing US property, told them they needed to spend more on NATO and then lied about the size and benefit of the middle-class tax cut. Talking about the lack of regulation to Europeans was kinda fishing for the criminals in the crowd. Europeans understand the usefulness of regulations that benefit public safety, manufactured goods, the workplace, the environment as well as social responsibility. I think some in the room would have felt they were listening to a mobster. He tried to appeal to their GREED, which is how he sees the world. Greed is good, greed is a natural thing. Just look at his tax bill.

What about the greenback, your economy might be good but your dollars devaluates every time he opens his mouth. Reports state people walked out as he started to speak so no one believes a word he says.

It’s frightening to think that the welfare of ordinary people worldwide is dependent on the actions of all these evil, corrupt, far right clowns. While I would never condone their methods, I now understand the thinking behind the “Red Brigade” in the 1970’s.

Why did Trump brag to Kysliak and Lavrov in the Oval Office about firing FBI Director James Comey?
Why did Trump provide classified information to them in the same meeting?

The Stockmarket bubble will burst in a gigantic way. American taxpayers will have to pay for the banks again to save their economy. Thanks to the security measures lifted that were implemented by Obama to protect the American people

      January 26, 2018 @ 12:59 pm

I think that is spot on – the market just cant keep zooming up – what is supporting it – not very much at all.
Lets hope the Goldman, Wells Fargo and other hedge fund folks are the first to have their offices torched and the managers chased down and strung up for crimes against the people.

It’s like a Solomon’s judgement. They should lock them up and let them go broke but then the American economy will suffer for many many decades. And with them the whole world economy. So they probably have to save them again. Although I also think that Drumpf is too dumb to recognize the consequences and won’t save them , There’s not much we can do as normal people. Let’s only hope that Mueller will work fast and lock all those criminals up.

Having some nerve ! With all of his flaws, (people present at Davos would not hire him for entry level) he dares to show his face, he must know by now how people with at least one economics degree judge the most ignorant American president. Even his wife had more common sense and stayed at home dealing with logistical issues. Problem is Americans are judged (unjustly) to be in the same category.

DId the planned walk out happen – that would have been so SAD…the biggest walk out ever! The smallest crowd for a President at Davos. AH well… maybe the novelty of watching the orange looney was the big draw – a chance to see if the guy actually is coherent and lucid in person. From what I heard of his speech it was very boringly presented – i.e. he was reading straight off the teleprinter….no flair, no passion, no feelings. MAybe he is worried about Melania taking half his possessions before Mueller takes the rest. Ho Ho.

Rolling back regulations that protect American workers and the American public isn’t good for anyone. Closing the Consumer Protection Bureau isn’t good for consumers. Now, we have no place to file claims against big corporations and little businesses and on-line businesses. I don’t care that he was able to speak for 20 minutes. Stop patting him on the head for 20 minutes or an hour (the televised immigration meeting) of making sense. The only thing that matters are actions.   P.S. The claims can be filed in court but consumers can no longer get a group together to file, they have to do one person per case. Who has the money to fight big corporations on their own?

    2 things:

    1) Trump’s words dont mean much. Neither does the words of the US as a country. Ill wait to see actions.
    2) The people, the “forgotten man”. Cant stop talking about that guy and i dont know how many millions he has because Trump aint working for the average Joe. The average Joe he took his money at a fake university.
