Health care for all is “far left”, but tax cuts for billionaires is “center-right” . Virtually every other country that isn’t dirt poor has some type of universal healthcare, but not the “greatest country on Earth” Whatever , America.

It’s too bad you guys don’t have that same “philosophical” dilemma when it comes to bombing countries around the world. You pay taxes, you get healthcare. Nothing philosophical about that, just common sense.

I have lived in half a dozen different countries over the last two decades and I’m also a practing physician with specialization in Emergency Medicine and critical care so you don’t have to try and convince me of the variety and breadth of nation’s that have socialized healthcare. Again, it’s not a question of economics is a matter of cultural philophy. America has always prided individualism in a way that it’s allies and enemies alike do not. Because of that the public is markedly divided in their beliefs about health care as a human right vs personal responsibility. It doesn’t make a good talking point and requires committed introspection and outreach to change. Therefore people just clamor on at each other making silly threats and meaningless insults at those they will never have to face in person. If you or Mr. assinballz “troll” are ever to come to consensus this approach needs to end.

mbwamkaliUSA  I couldn’t care less. I live in one of the 50+ more civilized countries (with a much lower GDP than the US) where I don’t have to hear about people dying of easily preventable causes. But hey- you’ve got your philosophical “debate” on if life is worth a few more tax dollars from rich people and your “individuals” walking lock step with a man-child compulsive liar President. Good Luck!!

By most per capita measures, the US is #31 out of 181 countries. We are #1 only in defense spending. Russia ranks #130 with a life expectancy less than North Korea.

Very much all Republicans love Trump. If you run with Trump, run on hate, you will win the primary super easy. Makes sense. Would that work in November? We’ll have to wait.

News networks should explain this economic boom is a result of a 10 year bull market!

TRUMP claims it as his achievement and many (FOX) viewers believe him!

Democrats, represented by active progressives with views toward a social balance, are the best option. They are protecting and shielding the democratic system from Trumps era. I think its working. Progressives are the solution.

    Palin is why McCain lost
    a ”king” maker?
that is why the GOP is the party before nation POS it is…

I have been GOP 30+ years
I voted for Obama because of Palin
Just as I voted for Clinton, because of the trump

Good for you Republican Democrat it doesn’t matter what I vote for is what is best for our country or people are soldiers our children Trump is a disease on the Republican party which I am not affiliated with but have always respected up into this point I’ve even been known to vote Republican as well not anymore I can’t trust them they’ll let anything happen as long as they get what they want that’s treasonous even if it has nothing to do with Russia if you put yourself above your people and you’re in public office I think you’re a traitor

As a progressive and a Bernie supporter, we are sick and tired of voting for milktoast Republican-lite Democrats… They ran this strategy for decades and it brought us Trump. Progressives have to be real and be unapologetic and run on progressive policies…

We all know by now that the Republican party lack the stomach to reign in Donald Trump, especially now McCain has passed away. Only a Democratic win will assure justice for all. Vote accordingly, people.

To think anyone still supports Trump makes me sick. I think it’s safe to say all Trump supporters may not be racist. But all racists support Trump. I hope democrats understand how important this midterm election is all across this country. It truly feels like good vs evil.

      August 29, 2018 @ 11:51 am

Racism doesn’t exist. Every time you say it, you invent it. Trump is too authoritarian in his leading style, but he’s as racist as any democrat.

    • mcmcdic
      August 29, 2018 @ 11:54 am

I think the most dangerous racism happens on TV today, there’s no laws separating races it just it takes some time for black people and others to fill leadership positions.

Democrats already setting up for a racial based campaign. We have a black candidate they have a white candidate. Racism card doesn’t work. Obama didn’t win because he was black, he’s retorics is supreme above all white candidates.

@Joe Scarborough, didn’t you get rid of the monarchy in your country 242 years ago? If you did that then why do you insist on calling certain politicians in your country ” kingmaker “?

Your political bias is perfectly obvious to most of your viewers when you conveniently put aside your dislike of your current disgraceful POTUS and his lackeys and attack Progressive Democrats and their policies. To your way of thinking you’d prefer to have either Republicons or Establishment Democrats, who all accept huge corporate donations during their campaigns so that they can have influence over the winner of each race, rather than anyone who doesn’t accept such donations and are intent on winning such campaigns without powerful lobbyist groups being behind the scenes and then expecting something back after the election!

A good way of changing the political upheaval within the U.S.A. – which you always seem to have had since you abolished the monarchy – would be to abolish the Electoral College system and make it illegal to obtain huge donations from corporations and let the electorate decide who they want to run the country rather than have a bunch of mega-rich elitists who care more about their own wealth rather than the good of the country!

There is no “Clinton” side, the Clinton’s are now a liability. With the Russians taint of the Clinton’s, and trump never getting off the hate “whataboutism” lies about people. We need to look at the needs of the people and the need to come together as a country. What we have is the big business bloated DCCC and the Warren/Sanders side.

This is what he wants and his R enablers too. The Dems “block” his agenda for two years. He and Mitch and the rest of the clan get to point this out as they campaign for 2020. “They have blocked building our wall.” “They have kept us from re-instating slavery.” These will just be a couple of their rally cries. They win 2020. Do yet another tax cut for rich that blows up deficit even more and again they win.

It’s a mistake for the Dems to swing too far left. We’ve had the unbridled rule of an unhinged president and his pack of enabler wolves in sheep’s clothing. The country needs a sensible pack of moderate Dems. Sensible centrists would look so wise in comparison to what we have. Going too far left gives moderate and conservative voters pause and once again feeling like they are trying to decide between the lesser of evils.

As a relatively moderate Dem, I am usually skeptical of nominating far left politicians… but in a state as crazy as Florida, I honestly think you have to out-crazy the other side in order to win. Dems have run moderates in that state and failed miserably in recent elections.

History is clear.  The facts are certain.

    Who started the KKK?
    Who supported the KKK?
    Who created Jim Crow laws?
    Who enforced them?
    Who arrested MLK?
    Who opposed Civil Rights legislation?
Who fought against the right of black Americans to vote?

    Democrats, that’s who.
Don’t you think it’s time to get off the Democrat plantation and think for yourself?

Incredible. 45 is inciting a USA Civil War 2 … and he is the POTUS? So what’s the Civil War he’s inciting? Well, it’s USA Citizen who believe in Democracy against 45’s USA Citizens who believe in Dictatorship. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Also, 45 has stated that the USA Economy will be destroyed if he is impeached. Is that a threat? It makes you think about what a POTUS could do to destroy the USA Economy?
