Ana Marie Cox was VERY rude to Comey in doubting that he knew the word “hyperbolic”. Certainly he did ! If she had watched Comey carefully, she should have noticed that he nearly always pauses before answering a question. He is intelligent and cautious.

A Mouse I second that question. What charges? And afterwards, what charges for the trump campaign members? (suggestions: money laundering, corruption, conspiracy, etc)
Then, trump himself? (suggestions: money laundering, nepotism, emoluments, FEC violations, collusion, conspiracy, treason, etc)

To engage in hyperbole, one has to first have some concept of reality.
Trump doesn’t. Therefore, Rachel’s question made no sense. That’s all she was saying.

A Mouse, if your are suggesting Comey committed a crime releasing classified data, think again. As Director of the FBI, he was the final arbiter of what was or was not classified within the FBI. Secondly, he says he shared unclassified written memories with his friend. He wrote or rewrote these unclassified memos with that in mind. Finally has anyone other than his friend actually seen the written material he gave his friend?

Odd that these conservative talk show hosts bring up that Comey didn’t want to talk about the Russian interference when instead they should bring up why the President elect didn’t wish to discuss HOW the Russians managed it and HOW to stop it. You know, like the leader of the United States of America would want to.

I kind of disagree with the suggestion that Trump’s lies about his overnight stay in Moscow are suspicious. If Trump were to ever say something that later proves to be true, I would find that much more suspicious.

Two strikes on Syria. Gave them advance notice both times. 50 ish missiles the 1st time. 70 ish missiles the 2nd time.

Cost per Tomahawk cruise missile. About $1,400,000 each. That’s $168,000,000 total. To blow up empty buildings and a run way.

Might as well have just torched the money as a distraction for Donald.

He warns them ahead of time for one of two reasons…

    He’s stupid.
He doesn’t want to face what they know.

I love how it’s getting more acceptible to show tattoos and have exotic hair colors and stuff. Mammals have such a narrow and boring color palate, humans have brains to do something about it if we want, but it has been taboo up to this point. I have black and teal hair and a couple small tattoos but I never would have believed I’d see professional people on tv with these things.

Jim just because I didn’t say anything about what came out of her mouth doesn’t mean I found it irrelevant. And there’s nothing exotic about her hair; her exposed arm is covered in tattoos. Your brain doesn’t work too good, does it? No wonder you think the USA is collapsing.

When I this I am reminded of the writings of Christian psychiatrist Scott Peck who said that love was the opposite of evil and that evil is akin to laziness. What he meant by this is that the work of love involves a preparedness to examine one’s self – a preparedness to reflect on the grey areas in any decision process and to be guided by a moral compass, even if it causes personal discomfort. The process is effortful and is the product of great strength- strength of character and strength of leadership.

On the other hand, there is a lazy approach to go about moving through life. There is no insight into the self, no self examination – just a bombastic self determination in one’s own “rightness” and one’s own entitlement. Such an approach stunts growth and these people can be like children- prepared to say or do whatever shields them from the effortful process of examining themselves. These people may appear extremely confident and decisive in their decision making. However, their decision making is always self-serving. A guiding principle is non-existent and the hole that is left is filled with bravado.

As there is no genuine empowerment from this lazy approach it lacks a deep satisfaction, so they turn to creating confusion in their environment because it gives them a transient sense of power. Their need to create confusion becomes unrelenting. Pseudo ‘charm’, anger, arrogance, and manipulation are their tools.

I get the feeling that some people subscribe to myths about what good leadership looks like.

The memos also make certain what has become increasingly clear of late: former Director Comey has at least two different standards in his interactions with others. He chose not to memorialize conversations with President Obama, Attorney General Lynch, Secretary Clinton, Andrew McCabe or others, but he immediately began to memorialize conversations with President Trump. It is significant former Director Comey made no effort to memorialize conversations with former Attorney General Lynch despite concerns apparently significant enough to warrant his unprecedented appropriation of the charging decision away from her and the Department of Justice in July of 2016.

Congress didn’t leak the memos, Trump’s cronies, Devin Nunes, Trey Gowdy, Jim Jordan etc, orchestrated the demands for the memos for the express purpose of trying, yet again, to end any and all investigations into Russia and Trump!
Trump, Fox News, and the very Republicans that I mentioned, are always whining, crying and threatening LEAKERS! especially the leaks from the Whitehouse AND the FBI and DOJ. This week in fact, Trump started referring to Comey as a Slimeball and a LEAKER, demanding his imprisonment, as has his propaganda, conspiracy creating, corrupt cohorts! ( listed earlier), YET
They have been the ones who purposely conspired with Trump/Administration to create the NUNES memo, and have Trump de-classify the information it contained, without allowing any members of the FBI OR DOJ read it first.
And again, those same corrupt congressmen/ senators , bullied the DOJ, threatening to impeach or start criminal investigations into them, until they handed over classified documents that are EVIDENCE in a ONGOING CURRENT INVESTIGATION! and IMMEDIATELY RELEASED THEM, agin with the purpose of obstructing the Special Prosecutors Investigation !

Wheres all their outrage and anger against the traitorous leakers!?! Where is the members of the Oversight committee, who have been too busy trying to find ways to bring down Hilary Clinton and the fBI and the DOJ and the Special Prosecutors, instead of investigating the Whitehouse’s allowing staff who do NOT AND WILL NEVER have classified security clearances, handling and reading Classified documents multiple times a day, for the ENTIRE TIME 455 days that they have been in the White House! Why hasn’t the oversight committee investigated the clearly illegal spending habits of NUMEROUS top officials that Trump has places in jobs that they have neither the experience or education to be in.
Scott Pruitt, and to name the most recent!
The Trump,Administration and the Republican party is a complete and utter JOKE! The Republicans are either, supporting, defending, apologizing or choosing to just condone the President and his corrupt, unqualified administration as it ruins their party!
It doesn’t matter what the Special prosecutors find, until the Democrats are in control, the President will continue to be a criminal who will be above the law, as long as the Republicans are in control!
If a sitting president can not be indicted, there is no point, because even if Meuller finds evidence of guilt, he can not charge Trump and all he can do is pass his findings onto Rosenstien! Rosenstien, NOT Meuller gets to decide on how to proceed. More then likely, Mueller will recommend impeachment because Trump is guilty of multiple counts of Obstruction. But only Rosenstien can make the decision to forward it to congress or not. As congress/ senate is now, even if he does send it to them, there is no way that they will IMPEACH Trump, let alone even bring impeachment charges against him to the floor for a vote, and they will likely NOT release the findings to the public!
And if the SP decide to indite, Kuschner, or Trump Jr. etc, Trump will immediately fire everyone and Pardon them, so theres no point! He isn’t going to ever be Re-elected , since the multiple intelligence and Security agencies are aware and will be on the look out for Russian Hacking, and Trump only has 35-36 % popularity,so without Russia cheating he would’ve never of won in the first place.
When Trump can no longer promise his cohorts the possibility of Pardons, and is himself able to be indicted, thats when they should go after him and his co-accused! The above mentioned co conspirators, Nunes, Jordan, etc should also be charged criminally!
Of course there’s always hope that Putin, will decide that Trump’s not capable of stopping future sanctions or removing current ones, and he will determine the best way to solve America’s Trump problem!
( One other observation- how stupid are those politicians and Trump cronies, who have made it their personal mission to attack and undermine , the reputations and character of so many public servants and hallowed American Institutions, like the FBI and the DOJ and the Department of defence etc?!? They must realize that Trump is not going to serve as President for Life, as much as he wants to be treated like a Dictator! It’s not like he will be able to protect them in two years, do they honestly think the beyond disgusting ways that they have tried to undermine and discredit these Institutions and the people who have and will work there, will just forget about it? Do they not think that the FBI and the AG, and Prosecutors have long memories? I can see Trump being so pompous and ignorant that he might think that, but for these so called Republicans, who used to believe in justice and the law, to think their own crimes will go unpunished is shocking and Shameful!

    April 21, 2018 @ 2:56 am

The GOP are playing the game like a bunch of junior amateurs. They are getting caught out by the press who, rightly, are pointing out they are hypocritical, amoral and spineless. But the real problem they have is twofold; Mueller and history. Mueller is legitimate world class, who’s built up a world class team behind him and the GOP has bought the Trump bumper sticker, T-Shirt and DVD collection. Unfortunately the Trump team are a c-list rabble run by a liar and fantasist. There can only be one winner there. History will judge McConnell and Ryan very harshly, not only in the dreadful tax bill they fashioned but more importantly thier support of a President who, as President, has no redeeming characteristics, at all.
