Our Interstate Highway System, Hoover Dam, etc. are the Gold Standard of American Infrastructure.

Would this “so-called” plan have resulted in those accomplishments? I don’t think so.

Give Trump a blank check and he’ll be happy. If you don’t give him enough he going to keep asking for more and shut the government down saying it’s the Democrats fault

Trump’s Infrastructure plan: Toll roads every where. This will be another way to funnel money to donors will very limited benefit for ordinary Americans. Trump is not a builder. He is con man that just likes seeing his name on building without any of his own money and none of the risk.

  9. Nathaniel Anderson
    January 23, 2018 @ 2:23 pm

I am telling you, this means no more public roads. We will pay a toll for every road and bridge we drive on. In NYC, you pay toll to get on the bridge, and pay a toll to get off the bridge. Public school system is next. Like those Republican tax cuts yet ? BECAUSE it’s coming out of everyone’s pockets.

STOP FCKING SPENDING ON A CORRUPT, BLOATED AND WASTEFUL MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX and focus OUR TAX DOLLARS on infrastructure. WTF. Let me guess, Trump is going to be the new king of toll roads.

Trump is on to infrastructure now. But he can’t even get that damned wall built. Sad.

Sorry, we cannot fix America AND make the Rich Richer.
Republicans chose the Rich. After all, that’s where the sweet Donor Money comes from.

How is this being paid for now that over a Trillion dollars a year has just been committed to tax cut for corporations and the top 1%?

  16. Benjamin Pruett
    January 23, 2018 @ 3:19 pm

Hmmm massive tax breaks for corporations.  We now are lacking a few trillion in tax revenue over the next 10 years. No money for infrastructure.  I know we’ll let states find a way to make up the money taxing middle and low income workers to offset any federal tax break they might get before it expires in a few years.  As always shifting the tax burden to the working class and giving every single break to corporations.

Crikey……another opportunity to syphon another couple of trillion to home grown oligarch’s(donors)? Wonder how this will work out?

  18. Robert Evans
    January 23, 2018 @ 3:34 pm

The purpose of the Federal Government is to raise the funds needed to provide the common services that all the citizens need like infrastructure. It is not for private interests to decide and fleece the public with tolls and public rip-offs. The rich don’t need to get richer but people need a fairer distribution of wealth.

No public-private partnerships. No toll roads. THIS is why corporate tax rates should not have been reduced. You don’t go to war and cut taxes and you don’t cut taxes when you need trillions in infrastructure.

Our country should be a Shining Country but mafia types have been siphoning off our revenues. There is a bigger agenda going on . Manchurian Candidates build up the treasury and then the next one takes it. Like the tide coming in and going out. Fortunately for us we got a wild card president that is so unaware he lets his motives radiate like a bad poker player.

you can see now why the trump administration wanted to do there tax plan before doing infrastructure plan. all the tax breaks and tax giveaways to the corporations or now licking their chops waiting for trump asministration to sell out our public infrastructure and turn our highways and by-ways into private ownership toll roads.

  23. David Pirtle
    January 23, 2018 @ 4:09 pm

You know what would have been great? If we’d used all that money we just gave away to the wealthy to fix up the country. I mean, if you’re going to put a trillion dollars on the credit card, it would have been awesome to get something out of it.

Since Trump gave the MILLIONAIRES a HUGE TAX CUT…why don’t MUNICIPALITIES raise TAXES on RICH LAND OWNERS by 200%??? Rich Americans NEVER pay their fair share!

    January 23, 2018 @ 5:13 pm

Here you go people he is going to give our infrastructure to private companies and his buddies. Then we can pay a toll every mile to drive on our roads.
Republicans are a bunch of crooks..Audit all the politicans including Democrats and see who is bribing them and then arrest them.

Public private partnerships have failed miserably in the uk and the taxpayer always ends up paying the bill. Don’t listen to those who say they work. Steph is right. Private companies can walk away.

A guy told another guy, who told this girl, who wrote in her diary – at least….that’s what she told another girl – whom I’ve never met, by the way, that in the 80’s, the Trump “organization” cleaned millions of $$ for Pablo Escobar. Who, Trump? Nah….he’d never use his position to do such a thing, right? He’s Totally Honest Donald, man! Just forget about that Trump University scam, ok?

Donald Trump’s Infrastructure Plan…?….raise taxes on the middle class…..and have Trump contractors do the work…….total cost..?……$700 billion…….then he keeps the money and files bankruptcy to avoid paying the contractors.

So the richest 1%gets over 80%of the tax breaks, up to 1.5 trillion and richer than ever ever before, and we have NO money for infrastructure. Great, thanks trumpty.

Important to mention that the government gave Verizon millions and millions of dollars to expand FiOS internet in a lot of cities and they ended up stopping before they even met their goals halfway. They took all the money though. These projects are scams.

we should be positive…thanks to that giant tax-cut rich people will invest a lot in infrastructure, at least in the road from their house to the airport…..except the ones who have helicopter..

but once more: we should be positive, thanks to the tax cut a lot of workers will be paid $ 50,- more every two weeks, that might cover most of, or at least some of the damage cost on their vehicles cause the bad roads….who wno’t be repaired, thanks to the tax-cuts.

I want to see, say at the end of the year, all those happy-middleclas-less-tax-payers-faces from begin this year…standing next to their cars …or what was a car…maybe September…so they have to share a truck with other former Trump-voters to vote some new senators a good paid job…

Shifting funding to states who had to increase taxes on low and middle class …., but not on upper middleclass and the rich? Now we know how the current tax reduction for the upper middle class and the 1% is being financed ^^. Somehow there is a patern …remember how they wanted to finance it initially by getting rid of Obama Care which is a baseline healthcare for low income citizens. Enslavement in capitalism: you have freedom of choice but not freedom of capability to use that choice.
